Deadly Sweet Tooth: Tide Pods Mistaken For Candy Treat

Tide detergent pods packaging has undergone recent scrutiny for its packaging. The pods were mistaken for candy by a 15 month old who recently bit into one and became ill.   Tide Pods were originally distributed in containers that resembled candy jars. However, since then Tide has repackaged the product because of consumer complaints.

Packaging plays an important role in marketing. The Tide Pod itself is an innovative product and has an attractive design. The grandmother of the 15 month old started a petition for Tide to change the design. The marketing and production team has  hard decision to make if they choose to acknowledge the petition.

It is important for families with kids to use safety precautions with any chemical in the households.
